Casa Mindela 3.83

The Casa Mindela is a well-preserved example of a 19th century agricultural house from the Portuguese province of Douro Litoral.

The farm buildings and living quarters surround a sunny and sheltered central yard where harvests were collected and dried.

The oldest building - the main house - dates from 1864 and features a rustic kitchen with a wooden fire and a huge chimney that lends a special touch to the harmonious architecture.

A Casa Mindela é um excelente exemplar de uma casa agrícola do Douro Litoral do Sec. XIX, em que a construção dos diversos edifícios compõe um espaço interior cheio de sol e abrigado dos ventos, adequado à secagem e guarda e de cereais.

O edifício mais antigo é a casa de habitação principal, datada de 1864, na qual se destaca-se a singular arquitectura da cozinha de traça rústica com forno a lenha e imponente chaminé.
